Preparing the activity
- Considering the time required for processing these materials, it is always necessary to keep the system out of service during technical interventions on the fiberglass pipes.
- It is necessary to prepare the surfaces to be renovated and/or repaired carefully by means of specific mechanical cleaning.
Repair
- In the case of repairs, these can be carried out:
- By applying layers of fiberglass (mat and MAT) mixed with epoxy resins
- By applying carbon fiber mixed with epoxy resins
Pipeline renewal and modification
- When conditions do not allow for a specific repair, it is possible to plan a complete reconstruction of the damaged fiberglass pipe.
Replacement of pipes made of conventional materials with fiberglass+
- In particular cases (e.g. sea water lines, drinking water, various drains, etc.) it is possible to replace pipes made of conventional materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, etc.) with fibreglass pipes so as to increase the useful life of the systems.
